Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College is a secondary school and sixth form based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

Spandrel panels installed across the site had begun to peel in the sun due to a wet coat paint being used. The replacement baked enamel coating to the new spandrels are much more sustainable, longevity being a key element of the performance.

Works Involved:

  • Spandrel Panel Replacements

The Bennett Facilities Management team were called to rectify the issue and did so by changing the existing wet coat spandrel panels for panels that used baked enamel to better withstand exposure to sunlight.

In total, our team replaced 120 spandrel panels across the site, all of which were colour matched with the previous spandrel panels to ensure that the external facades of the building would still look cohesive.
